An orthomosaic is a high-resolution, georeferenced aerial image composed of many individual images stitched together. It provides a detailed and accurate representation of the surveyed area. The resolution provided can range from 1cm/pixel to 50cm/pixel.
A 360 panorama from a drone refers to a comprehensive and immersive image capturing a complete view in all directions from a specific vantage point. Unlike traditional panoramic images that cover a wide but limited field of view, a 360 panorama provides a full spherical or cylindrical representation of the surroundings. This means that DSMs represent the terrain as well as any vegetation, buildings, infrastructure, or other objects. DSMs provide a more comprehensive view of the landscape, making them valuable for applications like urban planning, forestry, and infrastructure modeling.
